After setting up zp-config.php when requested by setup.php, i go to mypage.com/zenphoto and nothing happens. i thought an error massege should come up or atleast continue setup.php
As I said on the other thread, you need to run zp-core/setup.php to install zenphoto. No need to manually edit zp-conf.php unless you are changing something on a already existing installation.
Did you first create an MySQL database with your web host? Dreamhost (my server) then sends an email giving all the details needed for ZP install fields. Probably yours would too.
well my problem is that i am doing this on a college-campus server. so what i can do is very limited for now. i do have a MYSQL db setup and i do have a db. what i was planning to do is share that db to use for zp. this what comes up when i go to /zenphoto/
Zenphoto Error MySQL Error: The database is connected, but Zenphoto could not select the database "". Make sure it already exists, create it if you need to. Also make sure the user you're trying to connect with has privileges to use this database.
