Unable to Move images

When I try to move images from one album to another, I get the following error message (and the image(s) are not moved):

""The image edit form submission has been truncated. Try displaying fewer images on a page."

Permissions are correct.

I saw in a previous post something about needing to have the server turn off 'safe mode'. I don't remember any error messages while installing but how do I check to be sure safe mode is disabled?

Any other ideas what's going on?

UPDATE - It turns out this problem is inconsistent. I have four folders and can move folders between A & B but not between B & C or A & C. I'm still in the middle of troubleshooting so I'm not sure of the exact patterns.

    First, you should do what hte message tells you above. There is a selector to choose the number of images per admin pages. Your server cannot handle the forms for the current number respectively moving them. This is a server limitation.

    Safe mode by any means should be off since it is deprecated in current PHP versions anyway.

    I was having the exact same problem, checked everything and even recreated albums. I found that the problem was due to a file name having a foreign symbol in it (such as e with an ' over it, for example). Once I changed that everything worked fine :)
