ZP 1.4.4 : news category doens't filters news

Hi,
on ZP 1.4.4, if I click on a news category
http://mydomain/news/category/my_category

I still can see every news whatever they belongs to my category.

Again, as I reported it in my last post, this appears only for anonymous visitors. If logged, it works fine !?

Look at your demo site :
http://www.zenphoto.org/demo/news/category/test-category2

there should be only 2 news displayed !

I "fixed" it by unloading the static_html_cache plugin.

The bug is probably located in that plugin or perhaps I didn't understood correctly how works that plugin.

I presume this is resolved to your satisfaction. Of course if you have cached a page (or if your server or your client caches the page) you would not see any changes to it.

But I am still curious about the reference to the demo site. So far as I see there are only two news items displayed.

If you clock on "test category" somehow "test category2" is displayed with its two articles but not the three "test category" actually has as noted on the menu.

The reason is indeed the static_html_cache that does not use the right files. If I clear the cache "test category" shows the correct three articles but then you cannot choose "test category2", it just stays on "test category". So something is wrong with the cache plugin. No idea why that happened. Maybe the cache stuff is called too late after some changes.

Remember I did disable the cache on our site as well because it still interferes with the download list plugin even if the pages are excluded from the cache. I opened a ticket pointing here.

Just for interest btw, the theme selector is only shown if logged in. I opened a ticket for that.

This is highly unlikely to be a static cache issue, specially since if you visit that link the article count shows three and only two articles are displayed as you note. But as you did not note, this page was NOT served from the cache!!!!

As noted I did disable the static cache on site and demo because of this after I tested it.

If you look at the site it is not the wrong count only, it is the wrong category as well. Since it works without the cache, it is at least related to the cache.
