Upgrade to 1.1.6 FUBARed

Attempted upgrade to 1.1.6 resulted in:

I copied / deleted changed files to server and then ran upgrade.php. Admin appears to be working OK. Images are displayed in front end (except the '/IMG_4303.jpg.html?p=*full-image' which displays as a screen of 'ÉÏõ®ÚÂ؍¹ÜõíùõÎ8').
