zenphoto and AJAX don't play nice with konqueror

I reported this on berilos, but I figured I would post here also just to let peopel know that 1) there is a bug and 2) at least 1 person uses konqueror with zenphoto :)

Copied from berilos:

Some of the AJAX functions used in zenphoto don't work in konqueror. Here is a list:

1) "Click to add a description..." text on albums and images does not show up (albums and images without description, as when just uploaded).

2) The cancel buttons in AJAX editing while browsing do not work.

3) The AJAX editing boxes are only one line tall until you get to the next line. I guess firefox has the same behavior, but it is sort of annoying. IMHO a 2-3 line box would be better. Also it might be a workaround for the fact that whatever height the edit boxes are set at is way too small to see the entire text (it is less than 1 line tall it seems).

4) the "Saving..." text in the AJAX boxes does not show after the edit is saved.

That's all I have found so far. Konqueror has worked a lot on other AJAX pages with similar functions, so I assume zenphoto can work with it too, given some fixing up.

  • there are also problems in Safari so I would suspect that it is a deeper problem with KHTML/WebKit. wouldn't it be nice to have flickr's source for that because, theirs works on everything.
