Protected Album thumbnail

Currently, the thumbnail of protected album is a lock image(actually, quite odd). Since I always assign a thumbnail image to protected album, I think it is better to show the assigned thumbnail if the album is protected. Unless there is no thumbnail assigned, it should show a lock image.

I think it is quite easy to modified by myself, but I want it to be a normal behavior of zenphoto.

    Well, it is a lock image because others do not want the thumbnail of the image to show. So, I guess we have differences of opinion.

    Oh... on the layout, the lock image is like a square peg in a round hole...

    As I remember, the handling in Gallery2 is allow to choose a album is visible or not. Then if someone don't event want the album thumbnail to show, it can set to invisible and give the URL to other. Moreover, the protection of album won't affect the thumbnail shown or not.

    As sbillard said, we had it the other way before and then we implemented that as a request by numerous users.

    Because the lock image is not match to the gallery style. Actually, I have tried to replace the lock gif file, or modified the code before. But every time when I update the source, I have to re-edit them.

    For the Gallery2 handling, since the large user base of it, its behavior should be a rational( or compromise) choice, it may be a good reference point.

    Of course a standard image can't fit to all themes. As you said you can easily replace the image with your own if you don't like it.

    I don't see the point, Zenphoto is not Gallery...:-) Actually you are the first who complains about it. But if you really like to have that feature, you could open a request ticket for it.

    OK, Seem other don't met the problem as I.... I edit the code myself..

    However, for matching different style, I think in concept the lock image should be put in theme directory.

    Oh... the word "Publish" make me feel it is unaccessible before published, just like most CMS system.

    I have to edit code because my want is showing thumbnail of protected albums. The reason for this is I want the viewer know that I have taken photo on some event/people, but have to ask for password for view the photo in album.
