Issue with all sub-albums

Hi everyone,

I've got an issue with a Zenphoto(1.1.6) installation I've recently created. Anytime I try to open a sub-album I get a 403 Forbidden error. This is both on the front end of the site and also in the administration area.

You can see what's happening at the following address:

http://www.skintastic.com.au/gallery/index.php?album=work

If you click on any of the sub-albums within that gallery, you will see the error I am describing.

If anyone has come across this issue before or knows why this may be happening, I would really appreciate your help!

Thanks, Peter

  • What ISP are you using? I have the same problem with POWWEB. I can't have album/images with apostrophies in the file name. Get the 403 error or a 500 error when I do.

Try renaming the albums so there are no special characters in the name.

I'm hosting with a company that I don't usually use and I do believe this is where the problem lies, I just have no idea what needs to be changed server-side to make the gallery work properly. I've taken the issue up the hosting company and they've been no help so far.

There are no special characters in the album names, so I don't think that would be the issue in this case, but thanks for the feedback.
  • Hey Peter,

I've got a similar error and a post and I think these are related. I've noticed that your setup seems to be working now, at least when I visit your site, I can see the sub-albums. I notice there's no followup on what fixed the error.

Could you post what got it to working? I'm thinking my issue might be with the host, and not the zenphoto software. All help is appreciated..

  • Hey,

Just a followup. This bug seems to be a duplicate of what I was experiencing and the original poster never posted the "fix" to get their site working again. I thought the thread here:

might be helpful for someone else in the future.
