No image upload?

Hi,
installed version is: 1.1.6
The install/setup process show me no errors (all was green)
i disabled the use of mod-rewrite.
Under upload i type in a album name and let zenphoto
create the folder and allow it to make it puplic.
Next i select a file to upload and press upload.
I look on the server and can see that zenphoto create the folders
(with 777 permissions) but the are no images in it?

What do i wrong?

It is my one server with (hopfully) no limited resource.
The upload size is set to 64mb (my jpg files are not so big).
I move the files on the server (with nfs not ftp) this work fine until im outside.

Anyway zenphoto is realy nice!
