Could not connect to the MySQL server

I tried to upgrade from 1.1.4 to 1.1.6. I have been using Zenphoto since the beginning and have never had any problems that I could not fix when upgrading.

During the setup process, Zenphoto "Could not connect to the MySQL server"...

This time, I am led to believe that there may be a bug in the latest release. I have tried upgrading multiple times and have checked the config file and all my settings at least 5 times.

The site in question is: atozmasonry.com/pics

Please help!

Please check the MySQL username, password and server in your zp-config.php file.

I checked it again... it is correct, just as it was the past several times I checked.

Weird, I have no idea then. Really not missed a table prefix or so?

    Everything is lined up exactly...

Is there anyway I can bypass the setup, or manually trigger whatever the setup does? I've been trying to get this up for the past week.

Would someone like to check my setup?
  • Please check one more time. Especially your SQLAdmin password and your SQL host name. When setup puts out the block asking for these parameters it is because the sql engine refused connection with the values setup was given.

Not much help but ... I saw a similar screen a few days ago when setting up a live gallery for the first time (tried only on wamp before). I just uploaded the files in the morning and left them. When I was about to run install few hours later, a bunch of similar weird errors appeared. I just deleted everything and reuploaded the files then.
Probably someone was fiddling with the install dialog?
