Navigation in 1.1.7

I downloaded the 1.1.7 version for a new gallery I wanted to make on my website. Unfortunately for some mysterious reason, the navigation (next image, previous image) disappears when I am not in administration mode.

Has anybody an explanation for this ?

N.B.- I tried many downloads and I am now with a completely unchanged version as regards the coding.

Could you please post a link? Do the images dissapear, too?

Your question about the disappaering of images helped me ! I had unchecked "Visible" on the "Edit album" page (thought it was about comments).
