Zenphoto is really great but it needs some minor changes in the admin interface in my opinion.
1- very important I think, is to paginate the albums and subalbums. In my case, I have several albums with more than 500 subalbums and it's really annoying to wait each time the loading of the whole page.
2- The utilities like "move" or "copy" need to be improved too, the navigation in the select box is rather not so nice, when you have like us about 6000 albums/subalbums. Maybe a javascript tree navigation would be better. There's the same behaviour on the upload page.
3- When an album has a huge amount of images, the mceEditor is loaded for each of them and it takes a while to load. I would suggest to implement an ajax loader for the form in order to speed up things.
4- The tag block in a picture or an album should be improved too. It would be great to show the selected ones in the top of the list and then the others.

Regardless, thanks for your comments. The better place would be to open tickets for each number.
Quick comments:
1. It is not that easy to do that and to keep the drag and drop ordering. I would really suggest to try another organisation for now. That are a lot of albums...
2. See 1.
3. Try to set the number of images per admin page to a lower number
4. It is actually that way. Used ones are on top followed by the unused on that item.
