CPU Minutes

Hi there, just wondering if anyone using ZP has been having problems with their CPU minutes. I'm on DH and they're giving me some gype about how much resources I'm using. The only major change I've made was running PHP.cgi which I did to get ZP to work originally.

I'll say I'm COMPLETELY useless at all of this. I just know I like ZP and did whatever it takes to make it work, is it this or should I be looking at other scripts (I've got wordpress, punbb and a couple of other things running on my server right now). Any ideas what it could be?

Could be all of them combined, but I must admit Zenphoto is a bit of a CPU hog with all the image processing it does. Image galleries are like that.

Do you have any information about how many "CPU minutes" you were using before you installed ZP and how many after? I'm curious if we can't make performance better...

Sorry to bump this so late, but the newest version 1.0.2 should fix this problem. Zenphoto now lets apache do all the image serving after they're processed. It was exactly the same CPU usage before, only now apache does it, which hosts don't count. ;-) Plus it's probably better at it, being a web server and all.
