Thumbnails not working

I'm new at this, and just set up a zenphoto page for the first time. I've searched and found several posts, but all of them include links to the answers I'm searching for that are invalid.

It appears my image files are too large, and I need to increase a setting to allow thumbnails to appear, but I don't know which file/setting to edit. Thanks for your help.

    I appreciate the link- I've completed all those steps (verified the permissions, verified that php safe mode is not running, and changed the path in the .htaccess file), without any results. Clicking on the full size image makes it appear, but no thumbnail or slideshow pictures appear.

    Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    You did not read the link I posted.. :-) To make it short:

    1. Your images are too big for your server to be processed, therefore upoad smaller images.
    2. Raise the memory for your server to process php scripts in your php.ini. If you are not allowed to do that or don't know how ask your ISP about it. If that is not possible on your webspace at all -> 1.
