HTTP 500 error

***Please help*** Using Zenphoto 1.4.3.2 for my web site. Users can bring up the Zenphoto page showing the albums created, but get an HTTP 500 error page when selecting an album to view.

    1) Review your Zenphoto and server error logs

    2) 1.4.3.2 is not the current release so please consider to upgrade. We can only support the current release.
  • I am using Zenphoto version 1.4.4.1 [596740f651]and I have several users reporting an http 500 error when uploading..

I cant make this error appear..?

    See maybe: http://www.zenphoto.org/support/topic.php?id=39520#post-99491

We cannot help without proper error messages.
  • http 500 errors will never be caught and reported by Zenphoto, so the only place you can find out the cause would be in your server error log.

These errors are caused by such thing as file permissions and "mod_security" error traps. For the latter see this thread: http://www.zenphoto.org/support/topic.php?id=36756
  • Ok.. figured it out.. the files that the users uploaded were to large.. in MB.. infact it would be nice to have a function or plugin that could set a limit of the upload size of the Picture and come with an error that the file is to big please and so on.. :)..

    thanx..

Really? That should have been in the server error log actually.

The upload limit via POST which these uploaders use is set on your server and can only be changed there. Ask your host if that can be changed. On shared hosts probably not.
  • What actually was the error in your error log? If it was from the HTTP upload process then follow acrylian's advice. If it was soemthing else there might be something we can do about it.
  • Oops.. didnt have the security logger installed.. sorry..
I will report if any upload error occurs..

    sorry Guys..

Does not matter really, if there is an error it should be in your server error log.
