I'm also using Go Daddy Hosting ...and I can't get the zp setup to get past the 'zp-config.php' section.
I edited the 'localhost' with url to the database that Go Daddy database setup creates as suggested in a previous post...but I still get the error 'Could not connect...check username, password, database host'. Geeeez -- what am I doing wrong ??
i use to have godaddy. there good for domain names only..... i use apthost now.. individual CPANEL..woohoo... gdaddy a pain in the butt for setting up db and all..
I use GoDaddy (Linux) and had no problems with Zenphoto 1.2. You do need to first create a database, then get the hostname for the database to supply when you run setup.php. The installation was straighforward. I was able to quickly set up several galleries and have used several plugins with no problem. I haven't exerienced any other problems with GoDaddy hosting and I have found their telephone technical support to be exceptionally good.

Once you create your database in your godaddy control panel, and it's listed as 'setup', click the edit icon next to the database name.
It will bring you to a page that shows the url to the database. Copy and paste that into your config.php where it has 'localhost' listed by default.
If you don't do this, zenphoto most definitely won't work!
Good luck!
