Maximum image size

Hi - I started using zenphoto a while back. I noticed then that while most of my photos displayed, some gave just hyperlinks in the thumbs secion, then nothing when clicked. Thois that did not display were larger than the rest. I have just started using a new camera with much larger image size - getting on for 5MB, and zenphoto doesnt' seem to be able to generate thumbs for files of thsi isze. Is there a limitation set somewhere?
