Help! Watermarks?

Hey guys!
I'm very new to this zenphoto thing and decided to add watermarks to my pics, I checked the box in the admin area, and now I have a blue "watermark" in the corner of my pics, I assuem thats the default one. I then made and uploaded my own watermark to zp-core/images named "watermark.png"
am I supposed to name it something else?? Or what? I'm confused as it won't come up on the pics, I still have the blue watermark words coming up instead.

I'm really sorry if this is a super basic question, but I've read the forum topics I could find when I searched for watermarks and couldn't find an answer except that I should have a file called "watermark.png" in the zp-core/images folder. But like I said it doesn't come up.

Thanks for your help in advance.

You have to clear the cache because the watermark is attached once to the cached images and will only change to the new one then.
  • also, watermarks go in the zp-core/watermarks folder instead of the images folder. Just copy your watermark.png into the zp-core/watermarks folder and it should replace the default one that is displaying.

Sure, I misread the part with zp-core/images... But still the new one will only be shown after clearing the cache.
  • hi
i like to know the size of text to make for my own watermark?
    thn
  • You should use a size text that would cover the area you want watermarked of your largest image. The watermark will be resized down for smaller images. (It will also be resized up if you have that option set, so maybe just a sufficiently large image so that upscaling has some bits to work with.)
