imageDefault.png doesn't apear with empty albums, just a broken image icon in IE

For some reason, I'm not getting imageDefault.png for the two folders that are empty. When I checked with IE7, I saw the "broken image" icon (and, yes the image is in the folder). When I examined it in Firefox using Firebug, I noticed that the image has a very strange URL (well, strange to me anyway), with is probably why the browser isn't finding the image... something like this:

Any ideas what may be the cause?

This happened to me too, just today. The only difference is it happened after I dropped the Administrators table because I had locked myself out. The default image doesn't work anymore and I get the same odd path.
