how to quickly count the number of photos?

I upload many albums via ftp tool,but the total number of photos which display on index.php can not counter all photos,then I viewed all album pages,it counted the number of all photos.is there some way to quickly count the total number of all photos?

and it seems the number is not correctly with the ture number,why?

    Remember Zenphoto does not access images by itself, only if they have been visited or precached they are in the db and therefore counted.

    Try using a db query to count the total number for example.
