definitive guide to moving host?

Hi all,

It near killed me getting zenphoto installed, tweaked and then customised on my host, but 6 months later their uptimes have been consistantly awful so i have no choice but to move to a new host. I found one link here;

but its 2 years old. Is there a definitive guide to moving host? A lot of the tasks involved are fairly intimidating to someone relatively new to this stuff.

    I think it can be more easily done now. But it will require you use the current nightly builds.

    In those is a utility to backup your database. The button `Backup/Restore` on the overview page will get you to it.

    Make a backup of the current database.
    Find the file for the backup you just made. FTP it and the backup folder to your new server into the same folder where you will install zenphoto.

    Upload all your albums via FTP.

    Upload the zenphoto nightly build.

    Run setup. When it is done it will give you the option of setting your admin user/password or running the backup/restore utility. Choose the latter.

    Restore your database.
