drag & sort problems

I think I must be missing something, because nobody else seems to have this problem, or at least has not posted anything about it here.
When I'm in the "Edit Gallery" page, I cannot drag any of the albums anywhere. A hand cursor that indicates dragability appears when my cursor is over any part of an album row. But if I try it drag it, it only acts as a text selection cursor as normal.
When in the "Sort Album" page, not even the hand cursor appears when over images, and they cannot be dragged.
This happens both in Firefox on Linux, and in Firefox and Safari on Mac OS X (though in OS X I can drag the thumbnail images as an operating system feature, but that doesn't change the sorting order), which suggests that this is a server-side problem.

Anyone have any idea what might be going on? I'd be happy to hear it!

  • Do you have the scriptitacious folder within the zen folder?
  • I do indeed (correction: striptaculous), but... the .js files are not permissioned to be readable by users other than me (like the httpd user, for instance). Aha! It works now that I've changed the permissions of the .js files. Thanks!
  • I'm having the same problem, but setting the permissions on the scriptaculous folder and the .js files within it has not solved the problem. I haven't been able to edit the album order or visit the edit page since I created a new theme and selected it.

Themes and cache dirs are set to 777.

Another thing is that the link from the main admin page, to 'edit titles, descriptions and other metadata', points to /zen/?page=edit (which doesn't do anything), rather than /zen/admin.php?page=edit i.e. the actual URL.

    The site is http://www.strangerpixel.com/albums

That does sound like a bug... not sure about how the theme selection would have affected image ordering, they should be separate.

We'll have our bugtracker back up soon, hopefully that'll help...
  • I've just upgraded to v1.0.6, which hasn't fixed the problem (should it have?). I'm convinced it's a knock-on from my changing the main dir to 'albums' - which incidentally makes upgrading a nightmare, because you need to change the filepath in all the zen files. Is there an easy way of doing this - or should I just leave my dir as zenphoto and clear all this up?
