I have recently modified the Google map plugin to add more flexibility:
the version I have now allows the admin to
-add physical map type,
-add Gooogle Earth 3D plugin.
-To choose which map type to start with.
-To choose wether or not you want to display the map controls.
-To choose which kind of map controls you want
-To choose whether or not you want the "change map type" controls
-To chosse which kind of "change map type " control to use (buttons or list)
-To choose the background color of your maps
For theme builder it allows you to custom all those things (id add custom code to change the appearence of the controls), and add custom javascript right inside the google map script.
I will soon try to update it the possibility to show/hide wikipedia georeferenced articles(use ful if you take a photo af a monument, or any other thing referenced on wikipedia , like that the readers can find the corresponding article on Wikipedia,...), show a KML track, and display the photos on the map thru a KML file ( I find KML format easier to manipulate for theme builders)
if you are interested into integrating those changes just let me know.
So far it works with Zenphoto 1.2.1 and latest nightbuild without problems
I believe it should be compatible with any version that can use the current zenphoto google map plugin implementation.

Of course we are interessted! Please open a ticket and attach it to that. We can't promise that it will get into 1.2.2 that is coming soon since we actually have a feature stop with today so that translations can be updated. But we'll see.
