how to change Image path ?

Hello, imho, path like "/album/imagename.jpg" or "album/imagename.jpg.php" doesn't look good. I'd like to change path "/album/imagename.html" or "/imagename.php", but without ".jpg". but i don't know how to do it. i didn't find it in other topics.
