Disable image link from album page images

I am trying to find out what to change on the album.php file so that images in the album view DO NOT link to their individual image views.
I'm using SmoothGallery in the Effervescence+ theme.

Additionally, if there was a simple way to make clicking on the album image take the viewer to the next image in the album (staying in Smoothgallery), that would be great, but not necessary. Mostly I just want to know how to take out the links to individual pages within the album view.

Can anyone help me out?

    I am not familiar with that theme or smoothgallery in detail but you can take out the url from the a tag in line 214 on album.php (Don't remove the entire line that breaks it). No idea how to disable it completly. Maybe refer to the smoothgallery docs, I guess there are some somewhere.
