Should it work width gd version < 2.0 ?

Hi,

I tried to install zenphoto on a server width php 4.2.2 and gd version 1.6.2. Here are some information from phpinfo() about gd :

GD Support : enabled
GD Version : 1.6.2 or higher
FreeType Support : enabled
FreeType Linkage : with freetype
JPG Support : enabled
PNG Support : enabled
WBMP Support : enabled

ZenPhoto does not generate any photo or thumbnails. (File names are generated, but with a size of 0 k). Maybe it is due to a wrong version of gd. But I'm not sure. Can anyone confirm this ?

Is the installation possible with gd1 ?

Yeah, that's probably it.

Even if you did make it work with GD 1.x, it would look horrible -- GD2 greatly improved image quality from what I remember.
