cannot acces password-protected albums

Hi,
I've had a look at similar posts on the forum, but couldn't find my problem.
I'm a ZenPhoto newbie.
I've just set up an album, and tried to protect it: set up a visitor login and password in the relevant tab in admin zone, but the visitor login doesn't show after validation (only the stars of the passwords).
Plus, I cannot access the album with the entered info, they are always refused.

I'm on ZenPhoto 1.2.2, PHP 5.2.8.

    I'd really like to know what I'm doing wrong here. Album protection seems to be a basic feature, I'm not able to make it work properly and nobody else seems to have this kind of problem...

    Is it normal that the visitor login I've set do not show in the album edit form??

    I'd like to add that the problem occurs only with album protection. For gallery protection, the chosen login appears properly in the input field and there is no access problem.

    Everything seems working correctly to me.

    If you choose to file a bug report, be sure you include all information needed to resolve the issue.

    For instance, a link to your site would be useful, as well as indication of the album you are protecting and the authorization credentials needed to access it.

    What do you mean by `Is it normal that the visitor login I've set do not show in the album edit form??`? No login forms are shown except when the user visits an album which is protected.

    What do you mean by `but the visitor login doesn't show after validation ...`?

    sbillard: I'm talking of the administration panel, where there's an "edit" tab where I can choose to set a login and password for a given album. There's a field for the login and a field for the password, but whereas the password fields is filled with stars after validation (validation = when the admin chooses the login/pw, not when the user logs in), the login field is still empty. It is the case for the album but not for the gallery.
