Theme Editor and the missing code?

Just started using Zen Photo and managing to configure it nicely to fit in with existing site but when I'm using the theme editor it keeps losing parts off the end of the theme templates. When I add some code into template it is losing some code from the end of the file. I am assuming that it is something I must have set up /done wrong and not a bug but I'm totally stumped.

    Well, since I can reproduce this, it is most likely a bug. But it seems not always to drop stuff.
