Blog and Zen Photo 1 MySQL database?

Hi,

Quite a simple question really... With my hosting I have one MySQL database. I currently run my blog using this database. Can I run a zenphoto album from the same database? The cost of another database is too much to justify so was hoping to run both from the same database. Is that ok? will there be any problems?

Any help is appreciated.

    This is no problem as long as you chose different prefixes. By default zenphoto uses zp_, wordpress for example works with wp_.
    I have no idea about performance. But I don't think working with a single database will have any impact on that.

    For personal interest only: How do you link your blog and zenphoto?

    Thanks for the response. I'd noticed all the zen photo stuff started with zp_ so kind of thought it would be ok. Just wanted someone to reassure me basically. Thanks.

    As far as linking my Zenphoto and blog... I don't yet? I'll maybe look into that later. Although not sure I'll need to link my blog to this photo album.
