Still have rotate woes

I've never been able to get Zenphoto to auto-rotate images properly. I have verified in Aperture (Mac user here) that the photos in question show as portrait in orientation, but they always show as landscape in Zenphoto. I've cleared the cache. Doesn't help. I have hundreds of photos probably that would need to be manually dealt with in order fix it myself, and really just don't understand why I'm having so much trouble, since it seems that while this topic has come up from time to time, it doesn't seem to be a burning issue that affects everyone.

Any ideas?

I just upgraded to 1.2.4 from 1.2.2 and see no improvement here :(

    It is possible that your PHP does not have the function necessary for rotation. With the 1.2.5 release we have included PHP code to do the rotation. Slower than the built in function, but if that's all you have....

    So, the suggestion would be to try the 1.2.5 release.
