A client I set up a ZenPhoto gallery for some while ago (sometime last year, I think it was) just told me that the gallery pages appear to be loading quite slowly, and have been for about the past month or so. I checked it myself and they do appear to be loading slower than they used to. I am not sure why the change - he's added a few more subalbums and photos, but overall it's not a terribly large gallery, and nothing in the configuration or theme has changed at all.
Is there some kind of maintenance that needs to be periodically done on ZenPhoto galleries to keep them from slowing down, or anything else that might account for a gallery that formerly loaded reasonably quickly becoming slow?
Failing that, would upgrading the gallery to the current version make it faster? It's on v.1.1.3 right now (I've been putting off upgrading it because the theme is fairly heavily customized and I'm worried it will take massive changes to update it).
