In case I am missing something here is my rudimentary procedure to create collections.
Create a subdomain
example www.dennis.ronandownes.com
Use Simple scripts on Bluehost control panel to load Zenphoto to this domain.
Copy a folder of images from a general upload location to www/subdomain/albums
All works fine except the images cant be seen only file names read as thumbs and previews. I have to create a ticket and bluehost scripting teram fix. Dont know how. Obviously cant do this each time.
I can PM a login to Cp to a moderator or senior member.

We do not support installation scripts like SimpleScripts at all as we do not know and do not recommend these (as noted on the forum rules).
Really new to all this but I am guessing then the correct way is downloa d extract, create subdomain, upload to server- follow your installation instructions on this site. I am hoping I can still ftp images to the server and slip them into the albums directory for almost instant creation of big albums. Testing now.
In case you are extremely kind woul di be able to PM you an admin pw?
Regards
And a million thanks

PS CAn you recomend a consultant for some paid work in developing a commercially orientated wedding/[portrait photographers website?
Regarding paid work you may contact me on zenphoto@<domain linked on my profile> if you wish.
www.dennis.ronanphoto.com
Can I password protect collections and/or require user registration before viewing.
CAn I link to Ronanphoto.com fromm this site so as to build brand awareness for visiters. How about branding and so on.

2. Sure, either place a link on hte theme files or fill in the home page field on the options (some theme support that).
3. What do you mean with branding? Adding your logo etc? You will need to change the theme to match your needs. Please see the theming tutorial to learn about Zenphoto themes (of course you need some webdesign knowledge).
