Image web upload fails. FTP works. Help!

Hi there,

Building a site for my friends work ( www.JaygaRayn.com ) and have run into a bit of a problem with the web image upload. Everything works totally fine with Zenphoto on the hosting (www.supanames.com) except for the image upload from the web admin doesn't work at all.

It doesn't matter what file type or size the image I choose it does the same thing - looks like it's uploaded even with the 'Images uploaded' green confirmation message but below there's nothing there to edit. If I go back to the edit area and then back into the album there's nothing there at all - as if the upload never happened.

Weirdly I can upload images into albums fine using the ftp and they work totally fine from then on. But since the websites being build for a non techy friend - he needs to be able to use the web admin.

I'm wondering if it's something to do with the hosting company I use, as it's the same on two other sites I run with that hosting ( www.matthewbrindle.co.uk and www.megamegamega.com ) I can only upload images using FTP then login and edit them in the web admin after.

Another weird glitch which might be related is I can't delete images from the web admin at all either, I have to do that in the ftp too.

Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated!

    You refer surely to the multifile upload that was introduced with 1.2.5. That has a bug and does only work with PHP5.2+. We adapted that script and missed that detail as we also work on PHP5.2.x. It has been fixed in the nightly build. Only other alternative is to use the old single file upload.

    As for image file deletion that is surely a permissions issues. Please see the troubleshooting on our user guide. If you have safe mode enabled you need to talk to your provider. There is also an troubleshooting entry.
