Add Header Image To Default Theme>dark

how would i go about adding a header and a footer to the default theme and style dark? ive looked and found nothing

    All themes are plain (X)HTML with PHP. You can easily do that the same way the zenpage default theme uses a sidebar.php. Please take a look there.
