suggestions/how to for photography website

I am looking at building a website for a photographer (mate at work) and the general goal is for him to be able to upload his pictures and people then to buy and download full size images though the site, I have done a google and found this free source applications that might do exactly what I want but just thought I would pick the communities brains in the hope someone would be able to give me a pointer to if this is exactly what I need.

Sorry if this this is a question that has been asked a 1000 times before, I have spent a few hours working out the best solution and zenphoto appears to be the closest I can find. If it can be intergrated into paypal or some other payment gateway for the UK then I will install it and have a play.

    There have been several integrations into payment systems. Two posts below yours discusses one such http://www.zenphoto.org/support/topic.php?id=5592. Unfortunately, this seems to have been a quick hack, so probably works only with Zenphoto 1.2.4. (Current version of Zenphoto is 1.2.5, 1.2.6 will be out first of next month.)

    Look also at the Zenphoto web site plugins list http://www.zenphoto.org/2008/06/zenphoto-plugins/. There you will find a google checkout and a different version of a paypal checkout. These plugins are provided by our user group, so we, the developers cannot vouch for them.
