Is there a way to have a user who can upload, cannot delete?

Hi,

I am brand new to ZenPhoto, but I am assuming that first, you want the following:

Zenphoto version 1.2.5 [4022] (Official Build)
Current gallery theme: default
PHP version: 5.2.9
MySQL version: 5.1.30

Now the question...I have noticed that there is a place to add Admin users, but that for an admin to upload, they also have to have "album delete" permissions.

I have also discovered the "guest login" for an album/gallery...but users cannot upload using this feature, only view.

The application I am using this for (a local middle school sports team) requires me to have a single login for parents to upload/download photos. However, an administrative decision has been made to not allow parents to delete albums / folders.

Sooo...to get to the point...is there a way, with ZenPhoto, to have users be able to upload but not delete?

    First, I am guessing you are speaking of "edit" rights on the album rather than "delete" rights. There is no specific delete right.

    What you want to do is create admin users for your parents which have upload rights, but not album edit rights. Set the managed album list to those folders to which you wish to allow uploads. (You should be able to set "manage all albums" but there appears to be an issue with this as such an admin can delete albums from the admin toolbox. We will get that fixed.)
