Google Maps Info for pics

Hi!

I need some help with the Google Maps Plug-in. I did activate it in the settings but don't know how to access them while viewing my pics. Can someone help? Do I have to activate it somewhere else or do I need to add mor info. Eveery pic is set with localization info.

Thanks in advance!

  • What theme are you using? The theme has to place the map. Zenphoto distributed themes (except for stopdesign which has no convenient place for the map) will have a link that exposes the map.
  • Hi sbillard!

I use the default Zenphoto theme. I can not find the link on the picture pages. Do I need the EXIF data from the picture?

  • Yes, of course. If the picture has no EXIF data there is nothing to be displayed!
  • Okay, I see. Now I added some EXIF data to some pictures, but my 5D Mark II does not support localization data stored in the EXIF data. Can I edit this in zenphoto an add somem maybe placemark data from Google Earth?

Sorry, if this is maybe some dump question.

  • You can use a tool like Picassa to add geo-data to your images or you can use a tool like adobe bridge to edit the image metadata and insert the latitude/longitude manually.
  • Näh, that means to touch all of the 400 photos again. Downlaod, edit, upload. I'll see, if it's worth that lot of work :-)

Thank you for your patient help, sbillard.
