Newbie... some thoughts and questions ( all combined )

Because I dont want to clutter the forum I posted some thoughts and questions below, I hope you can clarify these:

1) User registration is possible with the user registration plugin, Can I also *Set basic defaults for this user* so when they register The registration process delivers there account "turnkey, plug and play " they can start straight with zenphoto without any settings having to be made including setting there page title for the gallary. Also create an Album and assign this to the user account.
Do the register plugin provides mailing a password to the user, or how does that work?

2) I see that zenphoto displays albums like zenphoto.org/myzeninstall/index.php
I need to have the option to seperate the albums because I want to be able to include these gallarys on different sites and
domains.

3) Any other suggestions considerations to just zenphoto as 1 central CMS for multiple users and multiple ( albums , read: sites (with the cms plugin ) and photos. Basically I want to serve multiple pages and photo gallarys combined as "user accounts" from 1 zenphoto installation.

4) Is it possible to hire anyone from here ( I have a small company ) to make some modifications and set this up fast? Im wiling to pay! I have some specific needs that need to be implemented, features that could be used inside the opensource version also.

Basically what I need is:

a) User signup and register, gets there own username + password, can login and can create foto albums and upload images ( there account should be setup with the register plugin ) they recieve email on confirmation of there email, after confirmation they get access.
b) There albums should be displayed on a subdomain.mysite.com where subdomain is the name of the user, they can provide this on registration.

    1) The users chooses his password himself. Also there are user groups for some general stuff.

    2) I do not fully undestand. Zenphoto's links are `yourdomain.com///` (if using modrewrite)

    3) You can also use user groups and also "lock" pages for other users. But not automatically.

    b) This is not possible technically as subdomains need to point to real folders and Zenphoto does not do this. Therefore you will need to create empty folders on your webspace that contain a file with a redirection to the actual album (either htaccess or a php header() redirect).
  • The user registration is done by a plugin. You could take that as a starting point and add the things like do things like set the basic defaults for a user.

Of course, you have to have some way of deciding what these defaults will be. Also, I would strongly recommend that the defaults be set when the user has been verified rather than when he registers. There are a lot of spamers out there!
