I am an admitted novice in all this. I would like to incorporate the
Lightwindow package into a relative basic theme akin to "Default." While there are numerous lightbox/lytebox/slimbox/thickbox/etc. variations out there, Lightwindow is the only one that has the look, function, and most importantly the ability to feature any and all multimedia files currently in use on the web, from websites to forms to flash to simple image files. Since I don't know what my site might demand in the future, I'd like to try and design now to ideally adapt as much as possible to future needs.
I liked the Highslide theme, but while its animation and window-opening is nice and smooth, I couldn't find much in the way of customizing it without breaking its functionality because of my inexperience with the marrying of javascript to PHP functions.
All I want is to be able to take the visitor into an album, and have the thumbnails displayed call up a Lightwindow aperture to show the full-size image. I am already familiar with Lightwindow itself to know how to edit its internal functions (gallery tabs, CSS, etc.). I just need help blending this into the function of the album page of a Default theme.
Anyone who can give me some headway guidance into where I need to go and what I need to alter, I would be most appreciative. Thanks.
