Pictures in root album

Hi,

perhaps it's a stupid question - but I didn't find a solution, neither here in the forum nor with google. I have a fresh install of 1.2.6 and I just wanted to place a couple of photo in the root album of my gallery. But both uploaders (visual and 'old fashioned') need to have the name of an album, so I can't upload to "/". And I even couldn't find a way to move pictures from album "<album name here>" to "/". What am I doing wrong?

Help would be very appreciated!

Thanks,

Robert

  • Zenphoto does not allow uploading to the root directory, so I don't believe it's possible. You will have to specify an album to upload the pictures.

Just to confirm, it is not possible to have images in the root.
  • Anyway, any image that was in the rood would be ignored by Zenphoto. Images must be in albums.
  • Thanks for your fast responses! But to be honest: I'm a bit dissapointed, since I wanted to show only quite a few pictures that should have been visible on the front page of my album. Is there perhaps any other way to do this with Zenphoto?

And btw: Are there any plans to allow multiple sizes for pictures? E.g. "Standard" with 800x600, "High" with 1600x1200 and "Full" with the original dimensions of the uploaded file. And "Full" only accessible for special users or usergroups.

It is possible to just show the images of one album directly but you will have to modify the theme for that.

Multiple sizes for images are also possible using the viewer_size_image plugin. But this also will require to modify the theme, depending on what theme you are using.

In general Zenphoto provides a quite flexible framework for theming that lets you do basically "everything", given that you have some knowledge of php, html and css.
