i get an error when i try to upload a folder using elfinder

When i try to upload images via elfinder through drag and drop i have no problem they are uploaded, when i try the same for a folder that has images i get the following error.

"Unable to connect to backend.
Connection aborted."

I have folder that have a number of folders with images. Uploading them one by one takes a lot of time does anyone know how i can bypass it.

I had though of uploading a zipped file and then extracting but elfinder doesn't have that provision for extracting.

Anyone out there kindly help.
Muchas gracias

elFinder is meant for files that are not gallery files. I have no idea if it is meanto upload folders as it is a 3rd party tool we just included. My colleague might know more.

If you wish to upload to your albums you should use the separate album upload.
  • The error is from the elFinder software itself. It means that the connection from the browser JavaScript code did not get a response back from the server side code. More than that I do not know.

When you do the drag, does you filemanager indicate that it is doing a "move" or "copy"? When I try this Windows decides that it is doing a "move". elFinder does get the "folder", but it still refers back to the desktop filesystem, so is useless.

You should try a different browser to be sure it is not a browser issue. Can you upload files?

Other than that visit the elFinder forums and see what you can learn there.
