Help! 404 "Not Found" when trying to install Zenphoto

I'm no stranger to server installations, so bear with me. I have WordPress installed on my site (http://www.theroades.com) as well as Menalto Gallery2. I'm trying to migrate to Zenphoto. I've uploaded and expanded all of the files to /zenphoto and changed the permissions. However, when I try to navigate to /zenphoto/ or the setup.php file, I just get a 404 error.

I created an index.htm file just to test to see if I can get to the directory and it worked. Could the index.php be redirecting to a non-existent file or directory?

    I may have found the answer on this post. I changed all of the folder and file permissions to 755 (vs. 777) and was able to start the setup. I'll update when I make progress.

    I'M A NOVICE, MORE OR LESS, WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. HOW CAN I CREATE AN INDEX.HTML TO ACCESS MY /ZENPHOTO FILES THAT HAVE BEEN UPLOADED TO MY SITE: <url removed by administrator>? (P.S. YOU MIGHT WANT TO CHECK IT OUT.)

    No need to YELL.

    Simple answer you can't and you don't need to. I suggest you take the time to learn how Zenphoto works.

    bmittman, the reason I created the test index.html file was to ensure the problem was with the zenphoto folders/files and not a general problem with my web host.

    As it turns out, chmodding all files and folders to 755 worked perfectly. I'm now all up and running with zenphoto and my migration from Gallery2 went very smoothly!
