error after load delay

Using the default theme, fresh install. I've uploaded a large album via FTP (~7GB).

I can reach the first page of the album, but when I click 'Next' I get this error after a long wait:

Gallery | Object not found
The Zenphoto object you are requesting cannot be found.
Album: internal_error.html
Page:

--

I also get the same error when navigating to some of my larger subalbums by entering the URL manually, i.e.

http://mygallery.com/index.php?album=myalbum/mysubalbum/etc

Perhaps my server is timing out?

    What errors in the server log? Did setup complain about anything?

    That is clearly no Zenphoto album or page or whatever.

    That large album is probably indeed timing out your server and if the images are quite big may also crash the image processing. Please review the troubleshooting on our user guide.

    I seem to have resolved this issue, accidentally.

    I tried adding '&debug' to the URL whenever the error occurred. Much to my surprise, the correct page popped up after a moment, and when I removed the '&debug' and went back to try the regular link all worked as planned.

    I don't know what this means, but it has resolved the issue in my case.
