I'm quite new to this, and wondering if someone can give a few tips on how to go about what I'm trying to achieve.
Basically, I've got a website designed with a basic layout (header with navigation, main content area, and a sidebar). What I'd like is for when a user clicks the link for the gallery in the nav bar, for the gallery to load on a page that matches the rest of the site exactly. Basically I want the gallery to load inside the main content area.
Do I need to create a custom theme that matches my page?

I ended up taking the default theme, duplicating it, and changed up some of the css on the light.css file to get a different background, header, etc..Next I put a menu bar directly into the index.php. So it looks pretty close to my site, and I'll fuss around a bit more, but when I enter the gallery, the style on that page remains unchanged. I don't expect the navigation bar to be there cause I put that straight into the index file, but shouldn't the background and header match the initial page?
