Original password not working

Just installed on BlueHost.... but in going to the admin login, the password I entered originally does not work. How do I reset the password? Tried using the "reset" code on the login page, to send email to me, but have not received email. Help!

    Please review the troubleshooting entry on our site.
  • That doesn't really answer the problem at all.... do I have to uninstall and reinstall the whole program on BlueHost to get it? I see that numbers of people have had this problem.... but I still don't see any answers that help. Please?
  • Pardon me... cited the wrong webhost.... this site is on (and the program was installed through) webhost4life.com..... in case that makes a difference.

    The troubleshooting does answer it exactly:

    You have to access your mySQL database. Please ask your provider if you don't know how.

    Btw, the host does not matter as I don't know any of them anyway...:-)
  • Thanks.... but being a newbie on this, where is the Administrator Table referred to in the troubleshoot?

    In the mysql database on your server where Zenphoto stores the information. Ask your host how to access it.
  • Thanks... have been finding my way around and found that. I deleted the Administrators table as suggested, but cannot find how to "run setup". I don't see that in the MySQL database on the server. Would that mean I'd have to re-install the whole program? Would that be safer?
    Sorry to be such a newbie at this.... I've always had programmers working for me.
  • NOthing works.... extremely frustrating! Guess I have to look for another program.
  • @a1000w, if I'm understanding you correctly, you didn't install zenphoto yourself, but as an option through a host using something like simplescripts or fantastico? If that is the case, you'd want to direct your support questions to them. There are multiple reasons for this, some install programs remove the setup stuff afterwards etc. Not only that, they likely aren't using the most recent version which is the one that support is provided for.

    @micheall: thanks..;-)

    @a1000w: You are giving in very fast, don't you? Sorry, installing scripts on servers requires some knowledge or the willingness to learn a few things at least. You can run setup by pointing your browser to `www.yourdomain.com//`zp-core/setup.php`. A simple forum search on setup would surely have brought that up.
