Is it possible to just show the contents on the one album on the front page? I just want a grid of images on the front page. I don't plan on having more than one album. I would rather the user just be able to see the images rather than have an extra click.

Sure, you can display the images of the album directly. Modify the theme's `index.php` to use the `next_image()` loop within the `next_album` loop or use the object model framework directly.
