A better zenphoto mod

I am wondering if you guys are aware about the excellent zenphoto fork at http://blog.dukechina.org/wordpress/?page_id=25 ?
It adds sub-galleries, among other things.

I am not sure how compatibe it is with existing ZP themes, but it might be worth taking a look at it.
