I did a quick look but it seems this is Intelmac only so I guess I am out currently as I am still on PowerPC...:-)

Never worked with a .jar file before but on a IntelMac (OS 10.6) it's just dubbleclick and go.
    Works perfect ;-)
No idea how to install it on a Windows machine though...
  • it is just un .jar so all MAC/PC with JAVA SE installed should be able to run it.

I just add un file " JUZ " to launch the jar for those who does not know how to launch it. This file is for all Linux but maybe it will work on OSX too.

for those on Windows just use the .jar directly, and OSX too if the " JUZ " file launcher does not work.

    Thanks.
It's indeed working perfect on Windows(Vista) and Mac(10.6)

  • Hi, Just gave this a try on my Windows PC.

There is a problem on the screen for the album creation. The fields for the title, description, user name, and password all have no width to them.
  • can you post a screen, and tell me which Windows version and jre you have ?
On vista and seven with jre 6 no GUI issues had been found so far. But, hey, it s java swing after all :D

My bad, sorry. I tested it on Zenphoto 1.2.7.

On 1.2.8[5056] (Vista and OS 10.6)it does not work.
I can connect, make an album but then uploading goes wrong.
It tells me the upload was successful but no images are uploaded.

By the way, I think the upload should give you the possibility to select a file/files instead of processing a entire folder first.

Another thing: the trunk version crashes when trying to connect :-(
  • @fretzl : wich version of JUZ have worked with your 1.2.7 ? I only tested with 1.2.8 and nightly build. Also I think your 1.2.8[5056] is the nightly build so give it another try with JUZ trunk version, and check if "version" is set to 129 in option XML file and if it crash again can you post here the last log. Thank you.

    Zenphoto 1.2.7 [4761] worked.

    Zenphoto 1.2.8[5056]
Checked if version was 129. Didn't work.
    Changed version to 128. Worked.
    Changed back to 129. Worked.
    Strange....

    Also. I uploaded 6 jpg's and 1 bmp file.
The bmp file did not upload.

In the TempMiniat there are 2 images. One jpg and one bmp.

EDIT: The bmp file did upload. There was no thumbnail created.
  • version set to 128 in the config file should not have worked with your zenphoto nightly build.
about the bmp upload strange in fact. I just give the file to the zenphoto uploader.php so if no thumbnail were created maybe it s a bug from zenphoto. Also you can choose the files you can upload in "option".

    I checked the bmp upload.
    It's Zenphoto that doesn't create a thumbnail.
  • bug report it ;)
  • Windows 7
    Java version 6 update 17
here is the screen capture http://testalbum.sbillard.org/MiscImages/capture.png/view

@fretzl: Does the GDlib on your server actually support bmps?
  • I believe it supports `Windows` bitmaps. (At least mine does.) But perhaps not `MAC` bitmaps.
  • thank you sbillard, I see now what you meant. Indeed swing is a bitch, I ll see what I can do :/

    @acrylian: You're right. It only supports WBMP's
