Thumbnail cropping

Is there any way to view thumbnails as the image themselves as opposed to a cropped version? example:

I dont want it to be cropped, I want basically a full picture but miniaturized.

There are a number of functions that manipulate images that you could use. Most likely you would want to use the "maxsize" functions. Please see the functions guide on the WEB site.
