l'applicativo esegue un chmod automatico dei files a 644. Con tali permessi, gli scripts PHP producono l'internal server error in quanto gli occorrono permessi 755:

i changed in setup [with notepad] the chmod in 755 but...
you have a solution please?
aruba.it [my server] say is a file that changed the chmod in automatic
i dont know
thanks
Setup provides an option to change the permissions. Otherwise you have to use an FTP program to do that.
Btw, both links throw an internat server error. I recommend to delete everything and reupload all files. Follow the instructions on our site.
Also i'm in panic because SETUP.PHP start a wide chmod on entire BEFORE ANY user choice, missing that when reload EVERYONE ev'ytime pick a "500 internal error", generated by 644 on all php files, all in all folders. So why dont pick 777 on cache* older automatically?
Aruba.it support keep hands off, because "is not a bug, is a feature" :-(
"Hack setup*.php or ask for a better setup.php"
It's the same-same-same old!! question from years up now, and tomorrow.
The-same-old-question.
We love zenphoto, WHEN INSTALLED but why install it must be an
experience so frustrating? why?
There is an option to change this because many servers are flawed in their implemetation of script permissioning.
Seems that Aruba is a flawed provider. (It is prominant in another thread of a user having difficulties.) You will have to find the permissions level that works with your server. Only they can help you with this. If they will not help, well, I guess for them customer service is an option.
A "first or unique exit strategy" that i use with success is to install on my mac MAMP (for windows any LAMP/WAMP alternative is?), install zp on it in my subfolder, (and all works fine, ... uh?), then upload on aruba.it all the folders and the mysql SQL dump. GOAL!
I write a dedicate post for next "aruba.it & 500 error" researcher :-) in italian and in english
