Theme Standard Options Wont' Save

For some reason, whenever I tried saving the Standard Options settings such as "Albums per page" or "Thumbnails per page," the page itself will say that the settings are saved but in fact, the number reverts back to what they were before. For instance, I wanted 10 albums per page so I typed in "10" and the clicked "Save." It will look as if I was successful but once I clicked "Save," the numbers revert back to 5 as the default.

It does not happen always because sometime it will save but other time it just won't even though it said that it did. I know it did not save because I took a look at the page itself and refreshed it. Furthermore, it could not be theme specific either as I tried it with all the themes that came with Zenphoto. Also, this was not a problem back in version 1.2.7 and before. It was only version 1.2.8 and the recent one that I encountered this problem.

I am sorry I am not able to reproduce this.
  • Thanks for your reply. It seems to be an issue with MySQL becoming corrupt. The reason is that there are times where I could no longer access Zenphoto admin panel because it said I was using an incorrect password/user even though I logged on earlier.

However, from the symptoms I listed, does it really seem like a database issue with the problem of certain settings not being saved as well as login problems? Thank you.

Oh forgot to add, the issues also go in hand with Zenphoto not being able to refresh the database. Whenever I tried to do so, it would display "refresh is incomplete."

    PHP Version: 5.2.13
    MySQL Version: 5.0.81
  • Ok, the problem was due to 1&1's MySQL database. For some reason, version 5 is not playing nice with zenphoto. Of course, this is not due to zenphoto but due to how they set up their MySQL as well as their PHP. Their setup of PHP 5 also won't allow zenphoto to check for update correctly resulting in "Failure to connect to zenphoto.org".
